Ad, entitled “Hard Truth,” criticizes Langevin’s record on reproductive freedom

WARWICK, RI – Jennifer Lawless, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Rhode Island’s 2nd Congressional District, today unveiled the second television advertisement of her campaign, entitled “Hard Truth.” The ad, featuring a Providence physician, exposes Lawless’ primary opponent’s dismal record on women’s reproductive freedom.

“This is bigger than one issue – it represents a fundamental break with the commitment to women’s health and progressive values we deserve from Representative Langevin,” Lawless said. “And it’s yet another example of how he’s aiding the Republican agenda, instead of fighting back against it.

“With the recent appointment of two anti-choice Supreme Court justices, threats to the protections established by Roe v. Wade are becoming more frequent and more dangerous. Rhode Island women and families need their Representative to be fighting against this agenda.

“James Langevin has shown – 27 times – that he can’t be trusted on this key issue.”
