NARAL is the 7th National Organization to Endorse LawlessWARWICK, RI – Jennifer Lawless, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Rhode Island’s 2nd Congressional District, today announced that NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC has officially endorsed her candidacy.
“I am thrilled to add NARAL to the list of national organizations on my team,” said Lawless. “Rhode Island families deserve a leader who will fight to protect their right to choose. NARAL is fighting hard to protect women’s reproductive freedom, and I look forward to helping them as the next Congressperson from Rhode Island’s 2nd District to protect our private and personal medical decisions from interference by politicians.”
NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC is the political arm of NARAL Pro-Choice America, perhaps the nation’s leading advocacy group for abortion rights. NARAL has over one million members and activists across the country who are committed to women’s reproductive freedom through education, mobilization, and grassroots organizing.
NARAL joins Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF), the National Organization for Women PAC (NOW/PAC), Women’s Campaign Fund (WCF), the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC), the Business and Professional Women PAC (BPW/PAC), and the Women Under Forty PAC (WUFPAC), as the seventh national organization to formally endorse Jennifer Lawless’ campaign for U.S. Congress.
Since his election in 2000, Lawless’ primary opponent, James Langevin, has voted more than 25 times against a woman’s right to choose.
