Endorsement for Lawless

Congressional candidate Jennifer L. Lawless has been endorsed by the Women's Campaign Fund, a nonpartisan political action committee dedicated to electing pro-choice women.

"We are thrilled that Jennifer has entered this race. She is exactly the kind of thoughtful and committed leader we look to invest in. We expect her to go far," the fund's president, Ilana Goldman , said in a news release by the campaign.

Lawless is challenging Rep. James R. Langevin in a Democratic primary for the 2nd Congressional District seat. Langevin was elected to that office in 2000.

Lawless, 30, has also been endorsed, according to her campaign, by the Women Under Forty PAC, a nonpartisan group aiming to elect women under the age of 40 to Congress.
